Cell Phones as a Data Collection tool - Have students use their cell phones to take pictures, record music, and/or video that pertains to what they are learning. It can be stored in their phones as reminders, study tools, or more.

Take it one step further and have them use Web 2.0 tools to edit their information and present in class.

With free podcast software you and/or your students can create music mixes, educate or host a talk show. Post these podcasts to your blog.

Pace QR codes on physical objects around the campus. Students can then take a "device" and scan the codes to receive more information and answer questions about what they learned about these objects. For Instance: Place QR Codes to provide information on trees, plants and etc. on the nature trail. Give the students a worksheet to find and give feedback on the items you would like them to learn about. Its like a modern day scavenger hunt.
